Fortunately or unfortunately, life is deterministic and it's inevitable. No matter how many left-wing, so-called "sociologists" dismiss the fact, it is just an empirical truth that the brain, its structure, abilities, cognitive fucntioning and IQ itself are inherited (the latter especially).
The reason of me writing this article is another article I came across on ScienceNews.org. It pinpointed the importance of certain brain regions in math and deduced that those regions are key to explaining why some people are absolute prodigies in some fields.
To provide an ostensible example, let's recall eminent scientist Albert Einstein, whose brain weight was appr 1200g. It is another discussion topic whether the brain's weight affects its functioning or not, but it doesn't require keen perception to notice that it does. At Einstein's brain weight, he should have been a regular laborer at that time, but the man reshaped how we think about the cosmos and time. He developed the general relativity theory, which is not so simple to think about. moreover, argue about and even moreover, reason about. The secret to how he managed that is his uniquely specialized brain regions, which specialized in the field he was in. I strongly believe this is the only cause of his greatness. On the other hand, as ironic as it may sound, the same reason was why he couldn't make money for the first eight years of his life and why he wasn't a great husband to his spouse.
This was a small article, yet deep down from my Exner's area and prefrontal cortex :D
Frequently asked questions
Does brain size determine cognitive genius?
+
Raw brain mass or weight does not correlate directly with exceptional intellect. For instance, Albert Einstein's brain weighed roughly 1,230 grams—slightly below the human male average of ~1,400 grams. Genius stems from cortical organization, synaptic density, glial-to-neuron ratios, and localized expansion of specific functional regions rather than gross volume.
What was anatomically unique about Albert Einstein's brain?
+
Post-mortem anatomical analyses (notably by Dr. Sandra Witelson) revealed that Einstein's inferior parietal lobules—regions responsible for spatial reasoning, mathematical thinking, and 3D visualization—were roughly 15% wider than normal controls, with an unusual confluence of the Sylvian fissure facilitating faster cross-regional neural integration.
What is neurobiological determinism?
+
Neurobiological determinism is the premise that human behavioral tendencies, mathematical aptitudes, emotional baselines, and cognitive processing capacities are shaped predominantly by inherited neuroanatomical architecture and genetic expression, rather than purely social conditioning or conscious willpower alone.
